Chocolate Drop Cookies

Ingredients

1 cup brown sugar
½ cup shortening
2 sq. melted chocolate
¼ cup evaporated milk with ¼ cup water
1 ½ cups cake flour
¼ tsp salt
½ tsp baking soda
1 tsp vanilla

Instructions

Cream shortening and sugar and mix well. Add melted chocolate and vanilla and mix well. Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with water and milk mixture and mix very well. Drop from teaspoon on greased cookie sheets and bake at 375 degrees from 15 – 20 minutes. When cool, frost and sprinkle with chopped nuts.

Notes

Chocolate Cream Frosting

16 oz package chocolate bits (1 cup), melted
2 Tbs butter
1 egg yolk
1 ½ cups confectioner’s sugar (sifted)
¼ cup milk

Combine and mix until smooth and of spreading consistency.

Makes about 4 - 5 dozen cookies 1x
